Genghis Khan

Genghis Khan is one of history's immortals, alive in memory as a scourge, hero, military genius and demi-god. To Muslims, Russians and westerners, he is a murderer of millions, a brutal oppressor. Yet in his homeland of Mongolia he is the revered father of the nation, and the Chinese honor him as the founder of a dynasty. In his so-called Mausoleum in Inner Mongolia, worshippers seek the blessing of his spirit. In a supreme paradox, the world's most ruthless conqueror has become a force for peace and reconciliation. As a teenager, Genghis was a fugitive, hiding from enemies on a remote mountainside. Yet he went on to found the world's greatest land empire and change the course of world history. Brilliant and original as well as ruthless, he ruled an empire twice the size of Rome's until his death in 1227 placed all at risk. To secure his conquests and then extend them, his heirs kept his death a secret, and secrecy has surrounded him ever since. His undiscovered grave, with its imagined treasures, remains the subject of intrigue and speculation.

Abortion Referendum

It’s not and, fortunately, will not be a subject indifferent for people....
It’s not something that leave people without an opinion and it’s also a way to challenge you’re own way of thinking and acting... because problems exist and the only way to solve them is to face them.
Details can make a difference, and having an opinion is also making something out of it... is good to talk and debate ideas but, is at least as important, to contribute to them in ways that will make them effective or at least will allow you to show you’re commitment or will!
It’s a way that we can influence the future and to our future, even if we’re not contributing to change things as they are, you have ways to act and to justify yourself with yourself. At the end, that’s what each of us is made of.
2
One of the inaccurate questions that I always hear about the Abortion subject is if you’re in favor or against.... If someone asks me this, for sure I will say no! However there are things that we can not tolerate, lack of freedom to decide, hypocrisy, autonomy and lack of accompaniment, and many others...
3
Let’s stop with lies or hiding from our decisions. Portugal is the only country in Europe, apart from Ireland and Poland were Abortion is seen as a crime. A crime that women do because they don’t have other chance, a crime that women suffer everyday on the rest of their life, a crime that could kill them, a crime because they think that the best option was taken.
4
Let’s make things right! Let’s stop the criminalization or penalization!
5
PS: I’m flying back to Portugal to vote.... however, I must state and complain on what is the reason and rational why other Portuguese based outside the country can not vote.

I´ll be very glad to receive recommendations for my planned trip to California....

Some ideas in mind:

The Stone - Dave Matthews

I've this creeping
Suspicion that things here are not as they seem
Reassure me
Why do I feel as if I'm in too deep?
Now I've been praying
For some way to show themI'm not what they see
Yes, I have done wrong
But what I did I thought needed be done
I swear

Oh, Unholy day
If I leave now I might get away
Oh, but this weighs on me
As heavy as stone and as blue as I go
I was just wondering if you'd come along
Hold up my head when my head won't hold on
I'll do the same if the same's what you want
But if not I'll goI will go alone
I'm a long way
From that fool's mistake
And now forever pay
No, runI will run and I'll be ok
I was just wondering if you'd come along
Hold up my head when my head won't hold on
I'll do the same if the same's what you want
But if not I'll goI will go alone
I go a long way
To bury the past for I don't want to pay
Oh, how I wish this
To turn back the clock and do over again
Now I'm just wondering if you'd come along
Hold up my head when my head won't hold on
I'll do the same if the same's what you want
But if not I'll goI will go alone

I need so
To stay in your arms, see you smile, hold you close
And oh it weighs on me
As heavy as stone and of bone chilling cold
I was just wondering if you'd come along
Tell me you will.
